Client Partner - OEM Activation, East

Adding to our outstanding team, we are announcing the role of Client Partner – OEM Activation, East for our Polk Automotive Solutions business unit. This position is slated for U.S. coverage focused on the East Coast Auto accounts. The role will report directly to the Head of Client Partnerships of Polk Automotive Solutions.

The Client Partner will sell and implement Polk Automotive Solutions’ industry-leading data-driven marketing opportunities to the East Coast Auto Accounts.


Promote and sell the Polk Automotive Solutions offerings across Auto OEMs, Tier 2 Auto, Auto Affiliate Industries, and their agencies

  • Territory will be the East Coast, with focused accounts including Nissan-Infiniti, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar-Land Rover, Subaru, Mercedes-Benz, and Mitsubishi, and their Tier 2 affiliates

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders from client’s and agencies associated with aforementioned brands

  • Act as industry voice for Polk Automotive Solutions to our client base

  • Collaborate closely with Agency Activation Lead – East, to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Deliver sales against an established quota for direct marketing, email, digital, TV, and social channels

  • Align initiatives on a regular basis with IHS Markit Automotive sales organization

  • Commission-based sales plan will be implemented to drive growth across the account base

  • Work closely with Customer Success organization to ensure effective implementation and delivery of sales

  • Attentively track and report on sales activity and pipeline via Salesforce tool

  • Primary products include Polk Audiences and Polk Demand Signals

Client engagement opportunities

  • Ensure direct marketing/email programs for account base are maintained with an eye toward growth

  • Capture net new direct marketing/email opportunities for your account base

  • Work closely with agency activation lead to ensure continuity with the account, driving the overarching data-driven marketing strategy with the client

  • Develop plan to implement Data-as-a-Service subscription opportunities for each account

  • Develop marketing plan to engage your client base with appropriate communications, and customer touchpoint events, and industry voice opportunities

  • Work with clients and our marketing team on joint marketing, press, case studies, etc.

  • Provide regular feedback to product teams as voice-of-customer to influence roadmap and enhancements

  • Collaboration with Tier 3 sales team and Partnerships/BD team is essential

About You

The Polk Automotive Solutions team is seeking:

  • A partnership-driven individual who thrives on relationship-building and partnering with key decision makers

  • A thorough and skilled communicator both internally and externally across various communication channels

  • A dynamic, thought-leading individual with a desire to “be the brand” and represent the business line with excitement

  • A strong collaborator and team player who can work across functional teams, and bring together constituents from IHS Markit teams and client organizations with ease

  • 7+ years in automotive media, ad tech, or data sales, calling on auto OEMs and their agencies

  • Established key relationships in the auto industry

  • Strong knowledge of, and interest in, Automotive marketing landscape

  • Strong written and verbal communications with an aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Works to build consensus across groups with competing priorities

  • Persuasive with details and facts

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in all Microsoft Office and Salesforce applications
