Eligibility: Our next internship program runs through the summer of 2020. We’re looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2021.
As an Intern with IHS Markit, you will undertake work on a real business project intended to add value to the team as well as provide you with a great learning opportunity. In addition, you will take responsibility for daily tasks similar to those a permanent employee would perform, which will provide you with the opportunity to see how a career within the Energy and Natural Resource industry will start.
The Upstream Cost and Technology team sits within our Energy and Natural Resource Division. The teams main function is to analysis the upstream oil and gas industry, with detailed coverage of supplier/contractor performance, costs and asset utilisation.
As an Intern you might find yourself assisting the cost and technology team with research into upstream oil and gas markets. You may also be involved in conducting primary research into oil and gas markets and assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations.

Initial assessment process. In most locations, this screening stage will be in the form of a telephone interview.
Final stage assessment day
You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles.
We recruit on a rolling basis and most of our assessment days are due to take place from November 2019. Applications close 8th December and we recommend early application.
