Eligibility: Our next Graduate Program launches in 2020. We’re looking for final year students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2020.

The role

Roles within this stream sit with our Portfolio Valuations division and if successful you could find yourself as an EMEA Calling Analyst, Entity Management Calling Analyst or Data Integrity Analyst.

EMEA Calling Analyst:

The EMEA Calling team maintains and enhance the database of buy-side firms and contacts throughout the EMEA region by speaking directly to portfolio managers and analysts to gather information.

As part of this role your duties and responsibility could include:

  • Provide comprehensive institutional intelligence across equity, fixed income and derivatives asset classes to the global capital markets and investor relations community
  • Direct outreach (via phone) to investment professionals and institutions via daily conversations targeting decision makers on the buy-side such as CIOs, Heads of Trading, Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Strategist
  • Track and review staff moments and effects of regulatory changes and initiatives on the database

Entity Management Calling Analyst:

The Entity Management team oversee the investigation of newly established firms and mergers/acquisitions of existing firms in the asset management industry. The team is responsible for answering client data inquiries, and works on high value analytical client projects.

As part of this role your duties and responsibility could include:

  • Actively investigating asset management firms not currently included in IHS Markit’s, buy-side database by communicating directly with investment professionals to obtain details on their investment process
  • Identifying sources and creating processes for collecting and tracking new information as needed
  • Analyzing regulatory filings, prospectuses, industry publications and other sources for information pertaining to asset management firm holdings and investment information.

Data Integrity Analyst:

The Data Integrity team is responsible for data integrity across the global database of buy-side and sell-side institutions and contacts by reviewing and assessing work done by global research teams.

As part of this role your duties and responsibility could include:

  • Reviewing, auditing and editing the research team’s daily firm and contact profile and ensuring they follow internal guidelines
  • Coaching and supporting the team and helping the Global Data Integrity Team implement, maintain, expand and refine global standards and applications.
  • Review and enhance existing guidelines and participate in the development of new internal processes

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should demonstrate the following education, skills, eligibility and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) completed no later than September 2020
  • This program is aimed at graduates with 0-12 months relevant experience
  • Knowledge of and a genuine interest in the global capital markets industry
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability and willingness to pick up the phone and call anyone
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to translate information into our internal app using internal style guidelines
  • Strong research skills and an ability to analyze existing sources of information as well as find new ones
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles.

We recruit on a rolling basis and most of our assessment days are due to take place in late 2019. Applications close 24 November and we recommend early application.
